HOW TO MAKE A VIDEO FOR US
Images can be a very persuasive method of putting forward your point of view, and for this reason we have incorporated video into this site. We would be happy to publish short videos from other sources, and it is not hard to make a short video or slide show to take your point visually as well as in words. You do not need any special equipment or computer software. On this page we give you some tips on how to do it.
HOW TO GET THE IMAGES
The best, but unfortunately the most expensive, way to get video images for making a video is using a camcorder. All modern digital camcorders produce very high quality images, more than good enough for videos on web sites. They also come with the images in various formats. tape, hard disk or digital card. The last two are easiest for getting the images into the computer.
However, there is no need to have access to a camcorder to make video films for websites. You can do it using a digital camera, a mobile phone or even the videocam on your computer if you have one. The quality might not be so good, and you may not be able to get sound as well, but this can be added later.
Also, you do not necessarily need video images, you can tell a really good story using just still images.
High cost technology isn't necessary, then. You do need to be creative and imaginative, but no doubt you can supply that yourself.
HOW TO MAKE THEM INTO A FILM
Once you have your images on the computer, you can make them into a film using the Windows Movie Maker software, which comes with Windows and is easy to use. Just keep the story simple, and try to use the pictures to put the message across.
Alternatively, if you send me the images and describe what you want, I will make the film for you and send it back to you before uploading it onto the site.
